I was born on 21st May 1981 in Berlin, Germany.
My first experience with photography was in 1997, courtesy of the Frank W. Cox highschool. During this period I was also attending the 'Nikon school' at Virginia Beach (USA).
Frank W. Cox highschool.
I return to Germany in 1998 and worked as a Photography assistant at the following studios Fotostudio Ihr Fotograf, Foto in Berlin, Fotostudio Nöltner, Foto Kirsch, Foto Huber in Europa Center.
Shortly afterwards I started an apprenticeship Fotostudio Urbschat und Töchter Berlin, where I received professional training and specialised in portrait and nude photography. During this period I was also attending the Foto and Medienforum in Kiel for technical schooling.
In Summer 2002 I successfully sat the 'trade exam' and thereafter freelanced as a Fashion/people/society photographer in Berlin.
In 2003 I shot for the hgm-press agency covering entertainment.
In 2004 I worked a 'On Board Photographer' for Hapag Lloyd
on the Ms Columbus travelling northland and embarked again for a worldcruise.
In the fall of 2005 I took a 3-month position in Osaka, Japan, for Studio 2055 in the field of catalogue production.
Following this I returned to Berlin and worked under the media agency POP-EYE covering concerts and music. This provided an opportunity for an apprentice with the press agency 'DPA', with a focus on music.
My current area of focus finds me working for a number of press agencies covering predominantly entertainment espacially music. I combine this with studio photography, again, with a focus on entertainment.
